We at Pistol People strongly believe that those who make firearms a part of their lives must also properly educate themselves in their safe handling and correct use. So we are dedicated to the ideal of each student reaching a plateau of understanding, ability, expertise and focus.

We offer a variety of formal courses taught by NRA certified instructors with over 30 years of experience. We have courses to satisfy your wants and needs no matter your skill level. We successfully train students anywhere from the beginner who has never touched a firearm to the professional who carries a firearm on the job.

Because we strive to expand your knowledge and to develop your physical skills, our curriculum includes both classroom work and shooting time on the range. Our Instructors go out of their way to provide practical and pertinent information in a manner that encourages you. We do not run a boot camp.

We understand that you may have no formal training with firearms. That's okay. That's why we are here . . . to help you. That's the bottom line. We are here to HELP you!

Many of you may have a fear of firearms. And we understand that. Many of our students in the past have felt the same way. We are positive that your education can get you past the fear.

Others of you may not be as familiar with firearms as you'd really like to be. All you have to do is say to us, "I don't know. Teach me."

We want you to be an informed and responsible bearer of a firearm. We are certain that we can show you how good a student of firearms you can be. You will be competent, confident, and capable.

Your well being, and that of your family is truly important to us. You must keep in mind that no matter how great your local Police response may be, it is still that .. a response. The Police are reactive. To better ensure your survival, you must also be proactive. It is among our goals to teach you how.

Our educational program is designed to extend each student's knowledge and physical abilities in a progressive manner. Our Basic Course provides the foundation for our other courses. Some of the things that you'll learn are (a) the types and characteristics of handguns and ammunition; (b) safe handling and proper shooting techniques; and (c) the laws governing use of deadly force and concealed carry.

Our Advanced Course takes you to the next level. You'll be exposed to a wide variety of practical self-defense scenarios, and learn how and when to use your firearm in each of them. The goal is to learn how to adapt, overcome, and survive.

Our National Police Combat course extends the skills gained in the Advanced Course to promote your survival in combat defensive scenarios and your performance in competition.

Our ACT 235 course is designed to meet the needs of security professionals.
